Uhh! I live in Kansas city! I live out by the speedway.
Our basement is just like yours. You shouldn't worry because 1.Your basement sounds very safe if its built underground...And 2.Tordadoes rarely hit the city. We get warnings a lot but we dont ever really get tornadoes. Lots of storms but thats the midwest for ya.

Really, no need to worry we are good. Oh and something else....the warnings go off every months....It could be freezing out and they go off.....Just because Kc people are really weird. I use to freak out about it everytime they went off. It was funny.

LOL! I have used my basement so much this years. Tornado season is crazy. There was a tornado like right by my house and it was pretty awesome but freaky!

I have lived in KS my whole life too. Great place....and I have never needed my basement! lol I am south of Kansas City. Welcome to KS stellarmusic4god.

I have lived in KS all my life, it's not that bad, just make sure your house has a basement!
