Mothers of Teens!

Description:

I find it increasing difficult to find any kind of support group for moms (and dads) who have teens in their house. I am scared to death about being a mom of a teenager. I am just on the cusp and will have to deal with for the next 5 years. However, with the guidance from God, love of my husband, and the friendships of others; I will survive. Why not join me and others as we embark on a scary but wonderful journey of raising teenagers.

Oh Teenagers!! I have 4- ages 18, 17, a few days from 16 and 14 1/2. All I know so far is that they are all different from each other and they themselves can change on a daily basis-perhaps hourly. My number one recommendation for survival during this time is a lot of prayer followed with patience and persistence. I want my kids to grow up to be the men and women that God wants them to be. That may be different than my plan for them. I have to daily remember that God is in control and have to trust Him to keep them in His plan. All I can do is be obedient to guide them as God directs. Keeping communication open is essential, even when it's hard or uncomfortable. I refuse to let the enemy have my children. I pray for everyone who is in this stage in their lives as well as for the teens themselves. May God guide each of you in this task. There is no greater blessing than to raise children.

I have a 15 year old son; any suggestions on how to anticipate and deal with issues that come up is appreciated.
