Going Through A Storm
OK, I was one of the millions of people in the Houston Area that were struck head on by Hurricane Ike this past weekend. You have probably heard about the devestation in the area on the news, but to live through it is something else. I was scared at first like any normal person is, but then I remembered Pslam 46:1-2 saying:
1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea…
It was hard to remember at sometimes though, especially during the storm with winds near 100 MPH and our fence being banged on our window from the winds (we temporarily fixed it and thank the Good Lord that my dad is fixing it and I also thank Him we were only out of electricity for 12 hours ). But I realized after this everybody goes through a storm, not neccesarily a hurricane, but maybe something like a divorce or being fired from your job. My pastor has been talking and has sayed you are either at one of these three points:
1. You're In the middle of a storm
2. A storm is coming and you don't know it
3. You are recovering from a storm
But you can always in your time of need look toward God and The Bible, especially Psalm 46:1-2. If your reading this and live in the Houston Area, please help yor neighbors in need! God Bless!!!
